He is slowly getting used to the afternoon thunderstorms that come out of no where and interrupt his evening jog whether it be for exercise or across a parking lot to dinner. When I am speaking to him on the phone there is a strange buzz on the other end if there happens to be a lightening storm going on.
Some pictures that I haven't been able to post due to them being far too small to appreciate are the beautiful gray, cloudy skies with blue peeking through right as a thunderstorm is on it's way in or out of town. And because Disney is so prevalent, there are huge power line trusses that are shaped in a giant Mickey Mouse head.
It's business as usual around here. We have been trying to keep busy in order to take our minds off of Daddy being away. Each girl has had her moment where she is in tears because she misses him. I've let each of them have a sleep over in my bed so finally tonight I'll be able to keep the light on a little later than 8:30 pm.
We've made home-made pizza,...
walked to the park, ...
completed the grocery shopping and...
celebrated 7-eleven's birthday with free Slurpees.
But mostly we are just lying around, enjoying the summer and this perfect San Diego weather.
We'll make it to Florida one of these days.
